Additional Information

The ExSeed Home Sperm Test measures the Total Motile Sperm Count

This is the total amount of sperm cells moving forward per ejaculate. This number is one of the best predictors of male fertility because it measures the amount of sperm cells that could possibly reach the egg after intercourse. The number is made up of the three measurements: volume, concentration, and motility.

Volume

Semen volume refers to the total amount of fluid released during ejaculation. A typical volume is above 1.5ml. Hypospermia, which is characterised by semen volume below 1.5ml, can occur due to factors such as hormonal imbalances or blockages in the ducts.

Concentration

Sperm concentration measures the number of sperm cells per millilitre of semen. A standard concentration is over 15 million sperm cells per millilitre. Oligospermia occurs when the concentration falls below 15 million sperm cells per millilitre, while azoospermia means there are no sperm cells present.

Motility

Sperm motility refers to the forward movement of sperm cells. Effective fertilisation requires fast travel through the female reproductive system, which necessitates strong forward motion. Our algorithm measures forward motility, also known as progressive motility. Normal motility is considered to be over 32% of sperm cells moving forward; below this level is referred to as asthenozoospermia.

Should I get 2, 5, or 10 tests?

  • A 2-test kit is perfect if you only want a snapshot of your sperm health. We follow the WHO guidelines and recommend a minimum of two tests to prevent any irregularity in the results.
  • A 5-test kit will not only allow you to see your current sperm health, but it will be able to show the improvements as you implement the recommended changes from our app over a few months. The 5-test kit is cheaper per test than the 2-test kit and comes with a free fertility cookbook.
  • A 10-test kit will allow you to track your sperm health changes over a year period. It also works out cheapest per test and comes with a free fertility cookbook & a free fertility guide.
